Hub Zemke
Hub Zemke - 3/4 size bronze
"A superb tactician, top-ranking ace, and
inspirational commander of 9,000 POWs, he was among our great combat
leaders. Col. Hub Zemke was a preeminent World War II fighter commander
who, with his "Wolf Pack", was credited with 665 air-to-air victories,
leading all fighter groups in the European theater of operations."
Col. Zemke retired from the Air Force in 1966 and
died August 30, 1994. He is a symbol of military excellence.
