When Will We Learn?
An attack on London, today. Awakening to such an horrific event is, sorry-to-say, becoming commonplace. BUT, not without deep felt sorrow. Thank goodness we are still shocked!
To be de-sensitized to such devastation would be the REAL tragedy! Looking at the footage reminds us that we are ONE. When one person suffers, we all suffer. Seeing a young man, blackened with soot, reminds us that he is someone’s son, brother, friend. Looking at an elderly woman visibly in shock, speaks to someone’s mother and grandmother.
Homeland Secutiy only affords us a false sense of security. True safety lies in our respect for each other and an understanding that ALL OF US have the right to live in peace.
Our unwillingness to honor each other and our individual beliefs can only lead to havoc. When will we learn?
