The Science of Warfare
With war a constant story, lately, we may learn from our history.
World War II statistics show that 98% of our troops never fired their guns and some of those that did, fired into the air. As a people, we are NOT killers.
Due to this information, the military re-thought their strategies and began to “condition” the troops, not just “train” them. Hence, our military are taught to de-humanize our oppostion. We do that by referring to different cultures in derogatory and demeaning ways. The troops are conditioned to shoot at “figure” targets and not a series of concentric circles.
To “condition” people means that when they return (IF they return), they come back with ingrained behaviors. Do we wonder why we have become such a violent society?
