Outdoor Sculpture
Take advantage of the weather and find yourself an outdoor sculpture garden! It may be as simple as walking your downtown area since many MAIN STREETS have adopted the annual art accumulations which allow the artists to keep their outdoor pieces in place for at least a year.
We were a part of such an event in Grand Junction, years before it became common. Robert installed monumental sculptures which attracted attention from the locals as well as tourists travelling through the area. THE MAYAN FERTILITY GOD, a monumental chrome sculpture,now permanently adorns the main thoroughfare into the downtown mall.
So, take a little time if you’re travelling to find out if there is such a place to stop and enjoy. And, don’t forget to support YOUR downtown, especially if you welcome the arts…
