A Blogger’s Thought

I’m curious as to how these daily blogs affect you, the reader. To understand a bit of Robert’s motivation to sculpt what he does, it is important to recognize the passion that underscores each and every piece.
While recording history is a vital part of his career, his way of relating to the subject so that the viewer can identify with the piece is very subjective. When Robert is sculpting a noteworthy person, he studies the life of that person. To get a sense of who he is creating, Robert must feel a connection with the person, his life, his claim to fame and anything else that forms a bond between them.
Without a clear sense of who that subject is, the feeling imparted within the piece cannot ‘grab’ the audience. Art MUSTevoke feeling for it to endure. We hope you enjoy taking the virtual tour of the sculptures…
