How About Peace?
On this Memorial Day, why not do it a little differently? Instead of remembering those who have died in wars, why not remember those who have lived in peace?
We have become a society filled with issues of war, aggression and anger. This morning, I heard that we were honoring over 1800 new-dead Iraqi servicemen.. I wish we were honoring those whose lives centered around pro-peace movements.
Don’t get me wrong. I feel passionately about those who have died. I would like to help create a life where our young weren’t asked to fight for peace – an oxymoron. I want ALL of our servicepeople to come home and live full and productive lives. Please, today of all days, THINK PEACE… REMEMBER
