OUR OTHER HEROES
Yes, we hear about ‘heroes’ every day. Yes, some of our military are heroes. But, we are forgetting about the heroes in our midst – those people who care for the children of prisoners, the children of drug users, the children of neglect.
It is not the church who takes care of those forgotten victims – it’s our neighbors who we meet on the street with a baby-in-tow. They are the people who do those things without fanfare or need for public acknowledgement. THEY are our true heroes.
They don’t need a day for Hallmark to make money off of. THEY are our silent heroes…
