The Poor National Guard
Not only are we sending our National Guard to Iraq but we’re using them in Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, the New York subway system, etc. You name it, they’re there!
When they signed up, did they ever imagine that? I recall that the mantra used to lure them was “Just one weekend a month” and “One month a year.” But that was ages ago. Remember? When there was peace on earth…
